***Sometimes you feel real old, older than you are. Check the aches and pains, the hairline, the demands of life. Responsibilites, responsibilities. Worse things have happened to all of us; the circus wasn't as good as you though it would be, the movie staunk, etc., etc....

Punching the clock, punching the wall, hating your boss. You can't go if you don't know, and you can't know if you don't go. and everybody in the world has their own song in their heads. The best songs ever. Problem is figuring a way to get them out and present them to others.

You've got to know where the brakes are. Enjoy life at a realistic pace. You crazy youngsters, what with your nightlife and everything. And it's important to trust other people, while putting stock in yourself as well. Reevaluating your priorities, checking yourself daily.

Not everyone is a victim of circumstance; conversely, nobody should feel like a martyr all the time. Problem? It's hard enough to communicate these days; some of us don't even get the chance. Some others don't know they have a chance.

When you travel frequently, you find a lot of images. And sometimes, you have to try amd make the best of a bad situation: more often than not, we grin and bear it. Other times, you learn to enjoy some small facet of your predicament. Nothing too elaborate, just an attempt to adjust priorities. Revolution starts at home, preferably in the bathroom mirror.

Example? Winter always comes too soon. This year was the worst I can remember, exceptwhen I was five years old. Pushed open the front door, got lost in the snow***

Heres some new ones. Boom, Mom heart on Mr. Kerry. Kept it simple bold and bright. A Japanese leg sleeve I've started with a Foo Dog, first time I've gotten to do a FooDog, stoked to fill it in. Still haven't laid out the inside of the calf and background yet, leaning towards a large flower. And lastly a Sylvia flash piece I did as a walk-in. Did it straight up the way he painted it. Yupyup.

Been trying to stay busy, have a few people I'm waiting on to get good healed pictures from. And a few new projects getting ready to be started as people get their tax return checks in. Starting this thing has definatly lit a fire under my ass, now its just staying productive and not letting other people's drama effect my attitude and work ethic.
I got one of Seth Ciferri's "Build it Your Fucking Self" kits. Had a great time putting her together. I mix matched the hardware, used different coils etc. Runs effortlessly and shades smooth. It just goes to show you how much frame geometry really makes a huge difference.
Did this dragon awhile back, on a dude who needs to relax on the tanning. One sitting black and gray, less than 3hours total. The flash burn sucks but its the best picture I got of it and he hasn't stopped in for a healed pic.
And last but certainly not least, my new buddy. Got this little guy on ebay, after the rest of the guys at the shops obsession of taxidermy was being very persuasive. I'm not crazy about this stuff, but I couldn't pass up a Cowboy Squirrel with Cigarette. Hah.

Had a fun Friday. Finally finished Billy the Kids gorilla, really really fun piece. I'm stocked to see how it heals and grab more pictures. Later in the day I got to do a cool walk-in, a sweet cobra w/ a rose. Tried some different tones and colors on this one and was pretty happy with it. And last but not least a painting I did on commission for a regular custom at the shop. He had seen a Hot Stuff Devil I had done before and requested something similar but involving a motorcycle. It was fun and I hope he likes it.

MACHINE MISSING

So... I have been searching and searching for the last few days everywhere, ( the shop, my garage, my house , the dumpster....) and its no where to be found. The machine is a Tim Hendricks Black Widow Liner. I don t want to make accusations that it was stolen but if anyone comes across a sketch ball selling one let me know. It was one of my favorite liners. I also am not leaving out the possibility that a wormhole opened up in my room and it slipped in an alternate universe... Well, Baltimore was kind of a bust. Friday wasn't too bad, fair amount of people. Saturday we were completely snowed in, a driving ban because of the weather stopped everyone from coming out. Got to do one piece on a Baltimore native, fun anchor with some forget-me-nots on his leg and got rid of a few paintings. Met some cool people and shot the shit for a decent part of weekend. I'm also including pics from my hotel room during the midst of the 28inch dump of snow we got.

As my first post I figured I'd put up a Rock of Ages. Did this one on Little Chris last week. I've always loved the Rock of Ages image, but I'd never had to the chance to tattoo one until now.

These are a bunch of paintings I've been working on to take with me to the Baltimore Tattoo Convention. Much more on the way, been busting my ass lately. Hopefully I'll bring about a dozen down with me.Here's a larger piece I've been working on to use as my banner. This pic was taken a few days ago, since then I've finished the majority of the painting. All thats left now if the finishing work. I'll update as soon as it's 100%.
